Statement of Faith
Form Foundation Homeschool Fellowship Statement of Faith
WE BELIEVE in one God - the Father, the Son and Holy Spirit.
WE BELIEVE that the atonement through Jesus Christ is for the whole human race, and that anyone who receives Christ is forgiven, adopted into God's family, and has eternal life.
WE BELIEVE the Holy Spirit is co-equal with the Father and the Son of God. He is active in the world, convicting people of sin, bringing life to those who repent and believe, sanctifying and empowering believers for ministry, and guiding into all truth.
WE BELIEVE the Bible is God's Word to us. It is inspired by God. It provides all we need to know about how to be saved and to live out our lives.
WE BELIEVE people are made in the image of God, to be like Him in character. People are the supreme object of God's creation. Although every person has tremendous potential for good, all of us are marred by sin, which separates people from God and creates a desire to please self. We believe that Christians are to continue to grow in maturity after their conversion.
WE BELIEVE that Jesus Christ died on the Cross and was resurrected by God - and that by trusting in His death and believing in His resurrection we are restored into right relationship with God.
WE BELIEVE that God gives us free will and enables us to turn to Him for salvation, but He does not force us to do so. He wants all to be saved, but gives us the freedom to accept or reject Christ.
WE BELIEVE each person must repent, turn away from their sins and trust in Jesus as their Savior and the Leader of their lives.
WE BELIEVE that God wonderfully and immutably creates each person as male or female. These two distinct, complementary genders together reflect the image and nature of God (Gen. 1:26- 27).
WE BELIEVE that the term “marriage” has only one meaning: the uniting of one man and one woman in a single, exclusive union, as delineated in Scripture (Gen. 2:18-25). We believe that God intends sexual intimacy to occur only between a man and a woman who are married to each other (1 Cor. 6:18; 7:2-5; Heb. 13:4)
